International Confederation for Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (IPRAS)
In 2010, following an international competition, ZITA Congress was appointed by the International Confederation for Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (IPRAS), the management and the organization of all Congresses for the years 2010-2015, and Mr. Zacharias Kaplanidis the role of the Executive Director.
IPRAS is the International Confederation for Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery and it consists of 97 national associations. The purpose of IPRAS, as stated in its By-Laws, is to promote the art and science of plastic surgery, to further plastic surgery education and research, and to encourage friendship among plastic surgeons and physicians of all countries. IPRAS also deals with matters concerning security in the field of plastic surgery, and humanitarian aid with several missions worldwide.
The role of Zita Congress is to handle all financial aspects of the confederation, to achieve the best possible communication though all its members/countries, to provide information to its members concerning plastic surgery, and to educate Plastic Surgeons through several congresses it organizes.

International Society of Plastic Regenerative Surgery (ISPRES)
In 2011 during the IPRAS World Congress in Vancouver, Canada, a new Society was born. It is named International Society of Plastic Regenerative Surgery (ISPRES). It is the meeting place of surgeons and medics from all over the world who are exploring the cutting edge of scientific progress through innovative techniques like fat grafting, the use of stem cells etc.
The purpose of ISPRES shall be: a) to promote the art and science of Regenerative Plastic Surgery; b) to further programs, knowledge, education, research and development; c) to evaluate medical techniques related to Regenerative Plastic Surgery and d) to promote and encourage the highest ethical standards of personal and professional conduct among Plastic Surgeons and other scientists with an interest in this field.
