Dear colleagues,

We are sending you the updated information regarding poster abstracts submission to the ''7th European Conference on Intermediate Filaments in Health and Disease'' which will be held at Saint John’s Hotel, Mykonos, Greece, June 16th – 19th , 2011 (see also http://www.eurofilament.org)

The abstracts should include:

• Title of the abstract.
• Names (authors).
• Names of Affiliation.
• email addresses.

The maximum size of the abstract should be 1 page A4. An additional page could be used only for tables or figures. The abstracts should be submitted to the organizing committee:

ycapetanaki@bioacademy.gr & emavroeid@bioacademy.gr  as word document or as pdf files.

There will be a Poster Talk Session, where 8 abstracts will be chosen by the Organizing Committee for 15 min. oral presentation.

The abstract submission deadline is March 30th (APPLICANTS that do not wish to be considered for oral presentation, must indicate their preference for poster abstract only, otherwise no indication is needed).
Also as we have mentioned in previous e-mails in order to encourage the participation of young scientists (graduate/medical students, postdoctoral fellows or clinical fellows), we will provide 10-12 Trainee Travel Awards to offset a portion (the registration/accommodation fee -450 Euro, double occupancy-) of the conference  expenses.

So applicants, who wish to apply for Trainee Travel Award, must be first authors in an abstract and submit their abstract as described above. Also they should indicate that there is no other way of financial support (their supervisors should confirm so).

The submission deadline for all abstracts is March 30th.

We will announce the names of the Trainee Travel Awards at April 3th.

There will be an extension, only for trainees, of the early registration fee until April 6th.
